- In the last few weeks of pregnancy, acupuncture can prepare the body for childbirth. Research has found that prebirth acupuncture can lead to more efficent labours and a reduced need for medical intervention.
- Moxibustion (warming treatment) is used to encourage a breech baby to turn to cephalic presenting position.
